"I used to think one day we'd tell the story of us."

As the temperatures drop, it's clear summer has left us. I don't really mind the cold; it's the rain that I hate. I've told you that I'm not cut out for the Pacific Northwest! But either way, time for layering and long sleeves!

"Don't you wanna stay here a little while?"

Any other Juicy Couture fans out there? I am a huge Juicy Couture fan; I especially love their witty screen tees. I present you with another day of screen tees with positive messages! Today's message: "Be Juicy." (Feel free to go ahead and "couture yourself" while you're at it.) :o)

Juicy Couture tee. Splendid cardigan. Joe's Jeans. Melissa flats.
Coach Purse. Tarina Tarantino ring (as seen here).

I hope you don't tire of my black outfits because I have a ton of them. I love monochromatic outfits, especially when it comes to black! I went for a black and white theme with this outfit but did venture out to silver with my Coach bag. Besides, black is a classic. I read somewhere that "anyone who ever tells you something is the new black is probably trying to sell you something." Seems pretty true! Black is timeless and versatile and will probably always be my go to color (or shade if we want to get technical!).

What is your stance on black? Is it also your go to color?

Does anyone have any "real" colors they always fall back on?

"Life's too short to be sittin' 'round miserable."

Sorry I've been gone for so long! I've been really busy, work had been stressful, and my boyfriend and I had broken up; in general, life had just been rough and I was taking a little break. But I'm back and better than before!

I'm turning twenty three this weekend and I'm ready to make good changes. It's time that I go after everything I want in life. Let the ambition restart! :o)

Juicy Couture tee. Eighty Six skirt. Gap flats. Marc Jacobs earrings. Guess watch. Forever 21 ring.

I went for a green and gold theme here. I had this Eighty Six skirt for awhile and had been dying to wear it; but sequin skirts--especially gold ones since the color makes it extra blingy--are kind of hard to pull off on a normal day. I paired gold skirt with my Juicy Couture screen tee since the gold lettering matched the skirt. Despite the fact the words are glittery, the screen tee adds casualness to the outfit. I added my gold rose ring for a little bit of statement, and anytime I wear dark green, I seem to always wear my Marc Jacobs owl earrings! Finally, to bring my outfit down a notch and prevent it from being over the top, I went with flats--dark green to match! :o)

Thus, when trying to wear something normally fancy/dressy for a normal day, dress it down with casual items such a screen tee and/or flats.

Also, advice of the day, as my shirt says, "Eat cake, wear Juicy Couture!" although not necessarily verbatim. (I, personally, am not a huge cake fan.) In a more general translation, eat what you want and dress fabulously! :o)

Have you seen the Pretty Little Liars season finale?? It was pretty good! And of course, expect Pretty Little Liars fashion inspirational pictures to follow later!

"Everything you are, falls from the sky like a star."

Take 2 for my pink pants! (They were first seen here.) I absolutely love them but they don't venture outside of my closet often because I fear I'll get them ruined. They are a really light pink, and are so light that with the addition of the bright sunlight, they kind of blend into my [cream] sweater in these pictures.

If I were more adventurous, I would take advantage of the subtle pink color and pair it with more vibrant colors, such as a nice green shirt (like I had actually considered). I have yet to decide if I didn't choose the more colorful outfit option because I didn't have the guts or because it's not really my personality--or both.

But what really happened was probably that I simply wanted to wear my new Juicy Couture jacket, which was gray, so I went with a semi pink and gray theme. For those who frequent my blog, you may notice that my Juicy Couture jacket looks pretty similar to the Abercrombie & Fitch jacket I often don (worn recently here); but they aren't exactly alike.

In fact, you will probably start seeing the Juicy Couture jacket more often because with its shorter sleeves (3/4 instead of full length) and thinner material, it's more of a thrown on for days that are warm but have potential for breezes or cooler evenings.

Gap sweater. Forever 21 cami. Juicy Couture jacket. Habitual jeans. Sophie watch.
Swarovski earrings. House of Harlow and Lee Angel rings. Stuart Weitzman heels.

I've always been a huge fan of rose gold--as you can see with my House of Harlow and Lee Angel rings, as well as my new watch. I really like that the rose gold color isn't as brazen as normal gold, but is still a nice contrast to silver.

I've probably had my Guess watch for about ten years now, and I have definitely grown attached to it; it's like a limb and I'm [almost] never without it. However, I finally got myself to buy a new watch so I could switch things up. Though I don't think that any watch will ever be able to fully replace my Guess watch, I love the rose gold. Plus, since I got it in the little girls' section [to easily accommodate my small wrist], it was a great bargain!

I am also currently in love with my new set of Lee Angel rings. I've always admired Lee Angel jewelry and only recently got around to a mini splurge on the set. I love everything about them--from the stars, to the rose gold, to the tiny stones, to the fact that I can wear them together as a set or choose if I feel like wearing a small, medium, or large star ring that day. :o)

Thanks to everyone who entered my giveaway! The winner will be announced at the end of the week :o)

Where does the time go?? It's the end of the week already!

"Let the rhythm change your world."

Currently loving my [semi] new Juicy Couture nailhead scarf! I wore it earlier in this post and also blogged about it, but let me tell you, I am still in love with as I was the day I bought it. I highly recommend infinity scarves--they're so easy to wear! I especially love the studs on my scarf because it makes it seem a bit edgier--just how I like it! (You can buy my scarf here if you're interested!)

Speaking of Juicy, I am also loving with my Juicy Couture mood ring (sold out everywhere online)! I loved mood rings as a kid, and the fact that this is a Juicy Couture mood ring makes it even better! And according to the blue of my mood ring, I was apparently happy! :o)

However, my favorite part of this outfit would probably be my [faux] leather skirt. I had been searching everywhere for a cute leather skirt and randomly came across this one in the sale racks at Forever 21. Score! Snagging a cute leather skirt at a great price (less than $20!) is a win!

This was yet another black day for me, but I attempted to make things less boring by wearing patterned tights and pink heels. My boss took one look at my outfit and called it "spicy." I took it as a compliment :o)

Gap top. Forever 21 skirt. Couture and House of Harlow rings.
Nine West heels. Target tights. Juicy Couture Nailhead Infinity Scarf.

My giveaway ends at the end of the month, don't forget to enter for a chance to win a bird necklace I made!

"Give me boots and boys."

I bought these boots nearly 2 months ago and blogged about them, but here is their debut! I love them so far! They are currently being categorized as 3 hour shoes, but I'll have to wear them longer next time and see if I can last in them. I love their tall height and their versatility with their ability to be either thigh high or rolled down as over the knee boots.

My Juicy Couture headband and scarf were purchased at the same time--amazing deals scored at Nordstrom Rack. LOVE that store! I am also especially loving the scarf. I didn't know how I would like an infinity scarf, but I am definitely converted to an infinity scarf wearer! They are so fun and easy to wear, I don't know why I was so hesitant before! They are worn/wrapped like a long scarf would normally, but you are saved the hassle of trying to figure out what to do with the ends of the scarf (well, I have that problem, do you??)! I don't think you can entirely tell from the pictures, but the scarf is also studded. :o)

C & C California top. Abercrombie & Fitch jacket. Easy Money jeans. Juicy Couture headband.
Juicy Couture Nailhead Infinity Scarf. Tarina Tarantino ring. Report boots.

I get constant compliments on my eye makeup and when I thought about, I realized my eyes are as great as they are (well, on a good day!) primarily thanks to Urban Decay and Lancome! Urban Decay is my favorite brand for eyeshadows because I love their selection of colors; I especially love their Book of Shadows. The "Books" always come with a great variety of colors and are always really fun. I give kudos to their marketing and design team--or whoever comes up with the book/box designs; every edition of the Book of Shadows is always really fun and I hate tossing it after I'm done!

I like the Lancome Artliner because on days when I want my eyeliner to be thinner, I can draw it so precisely! (For days when I like my eyeliner thick, I can just angle the Artliner, and the job still gets done!)

I was never a huge fan of Lancome mascaras before because I found that they tended to both smudge and clump, but the Hypnose Drama mascara won me over. It's long last lasting, doesn't flake, and most of all, is one of the best volumizing mascaras I've ever used. And with the help of the Cils Booster, my eyelashes look fabulous! If you pick one product to invest in, it should be the Cils Booster; pair it with any mascara and you will see the difference!

What products/new purchases are you currently loving? :o)

All I want is...a little bird in my life.

I've always really liked birds. My mom used to take me to Nordstrom Rack when I was little, and I loved going because there was a bakery right next to it. Birds would gathered outside trying to pick up any remnants people might have dropped on their way out. I would always run and chase the birds, hoping to catch one as a pet. I always failed, of course. :o(

Whether it is real birds, fake birds, birds on clothes, birds on decor--I just really like them. I them fun, charming, and whimsical. :o)

Obsession of the Moment: Birds, birds, birds!

1. Marc Jacobs "Miss Marc Bird Pendant Necklace," $57; I love Miss Marc and seeing the birds hold her by her hair always makes me laugh.
2. Leifsdottir "Aviary skirt," $100; I love everything about this skirt--the style, the color, and of course, the lovely bird pattern!
3. Alexander McQueen "Bird Design Oversized Round Sunglasses," $360; personally, I love oversized round sunglasses, and the bird design on the sides make me love these sunglasses even more!
4. Free People "Boxy Bird Tank," $88; obviously, I love the birds, but I also really like the design of it--like the lace detailing--and how the blue is watercolor-esque.
5. Cara "Critters Hummingbird Crystal Stretch Ring," $42; the. cutest. ring. ever. This is a ring I'd probably be willing to pay regular price for. lol.
6. Juicy Couture "Wanderlust Small Wish Bird Pendant Necklace," $48; the little bird is too cute, and I love how dainty this necklace is!
7.
Marc Jacobs "Miss Marc Double Wrap Necklace," $78; hello, cute little birds circling my neck!
8. Urban Outfitters "Love Bird Bank," $5; for 5 bucks, you could be the owner of the cutest money bank ever--piggy banks are so old fashioned!
9. Felix Rey "Love Birds Mesh Clutch," $150; saw this clutch earlier this year and had it bookmarked because I thought it would have been great for Valentine's Day. How cute are those birds!

Keeping with the theme, be sure to enter my giveaway to win this bird necklace!

"'Cause you can, so you do."

Have you tried the Starbucks Toffee Frappuccinos? I love them! Clearly, because I am endorsing them in a following picture and am not paid for it!

Forever 21 dress. Banana Republic cami. BCBG wedges. Handmade necklace.
Juicy Couture bracelet. Swarovski earrings. Nordstrom ring.

Remember those black Calvin Klein heels I used to wear almost always? (They were my go-to heels after all!) Well unfortunately for me, I can't find them. I am 99% sure my closet ate them. But in conclusion, it is why I've been wearing these BCBG wedges so often. They often just happen to be the last worn pair of shoes and not yet placed back correctly in the closet; so when I'm in a hurry, they are the most accessible.

I really need to look for my Calvin Klein heels though (or dig other black heels out) because the Mary Jane style of the BCBG wedges make them a little less versatile. I absolutely love the wedges; but with this dress, it makes me look a tad matronly--which isn't the look I'm going for!

Speaking of things I don't go for, I love shopping online because you can find amazing steals and deals; however, the downside is you're not always 100% guaranteed what you get will be perfect. Obviously when it comes to clothes, if you're in a store, you can try something on. If you get it online, even if you know what size you are in a certain brand, you can find that you don't like the fit of something.

When it comes to accessories, you could potentially go wrong when pictures are extra zoomed in or not shown to scale. When I bought the Juicy bracelet I'm wearing in this post on a flash sale site, I thought it was going to be a lot thicker. Thankfully, it's still really cute, and I love it! You can buy the pink or white version of it here for just $23! And my picture wearing it is accurate!! :o)

But if you're interested in jewelry for free...

"I'm wearing all my favorite brands, brands, brands..."

Okay, I'm not wearing all my favorite brands, but a few of my very favorites--Marc Jacobs, Juicy Couture, People's Liberation, and House of Harlow! :o)

Marc Jacobs dress. People's Liberation jacket. BCBG wedges. Juicy Couture earrings. Forever 21 necklace. House of Harlow rings.

In yesterday's post, I was talking about how much I loved wide statement rings that cover multiple fingers and give the illusion of a double finger ring. And voila, another favorite ring of mine! Of course, I love anything House of Harlow, but I love the key ring not only for its antique feel, but also definitely for its wideness! You can find the Key Cocktail Ring here, and if you like my Thick Stack Ring, you can get it [in silver] here.

And in another previous post, I was wearing the larger [and pink] version of these hoops earrings. Here is a close up picture of today's earrings.

Such a true statement because I totally need more Juicy! :o) I certainly don't love every single item they make--the case with most brands--but I'm definitely a Juicy Couture girl, especially when it comes to their jewelry!

Also, if you like my bird necklace, buy it here for $1.50! (Well, not including shipping. But if you visit your nearest Forever 21 store, you can buy it for $1.50!) It also comes in silver, and at the price, why not get both colors? I'm loving Forever 21's cheap $1.50 jewelry selection. They generally have always had cheap jewelry, but at $1.50, the jewelry is practically a steal! If you consider yourself a frugalista, be sure to check it out online or in stores. :o)

So so so SO glad Friday is about here!

"I was gone for a minute, now I'm back."

Gap top. People's Liberations jacket. Lucie Rose skirt. Nine West heels. Juicy Couture necklace and earrings.

Because I didn't have any good pictures of my own, here is a close up picture of my earrings courtesy of Nordstrom. These earrings are awesome because they say "Viva la Juicy Couture." AMEN. I love Juicy Couture's constant clever sayings and notations. :o)

The earrings were courtesy of the Boyfriend; he completely surprised me with them because I wasn't expecting to get them from him. I had actually just purchased the smaller black version of the hoops earrings (those ones say "I want more Juicy"), and it was a good thing I hadn't bought the pink ones myself! Then again, there's nothing wrong with backup!

And because I didn't buy into the whole issue with the changing zodiac signs, I proudly wear my Virgo necklace! (If you're a Capricorn or Libra, you can buy a similar necklace here for just $15! Sorry if you have another zodiac sign, the necklaces have sold quick!)

Nicole at Electric Daze thoughtfully awarded me with the Versatile Blogger Award! Yay!

In turn, I am supposed to reveal 7 things about myself and then pass this award on to 7 other bloggers. So....

7 things about me: (and okay, I semi cheated with "7")
1.
I can't roll my r's to save my life; my inability hindered my potential success in high school Spanish class.
1. a. I wish I had continued taking Spanish classes because my Spanish skills these days are pretty shoddy.
2. I have a thing for birds--real birds, stuffed animals, bird prints, bird embellishments, bird decor, etc.
3. I've been keeping my jewelry in their original bags/boxes but I've been finding that while they're hidden away in their bags/boxes, I forget what I own. Thus, I need to find a new method of organizing my jewelry.
4. I wear Aquolina Pink Sugar perfume. Only I've been running low for awhile and been too lazy to get a new bottle so I wear it only on special occasions.
4. a. I'm actually really anal about grammar but when I write emails and blogs, I write like I would talk.
5. (I almost numbered this "4. b." but didn't want to cheat too much with the amount of things I'm really allowed to tell you.) I'm an editor at heart; I would love an editing job. I confess that I take pleasure bleeding (with pen, of course) all over people's papers/writing, but I obviously just want to help!
5. a. (Sorry, I know I'm being pretty narcissistic with this too long list) I would have gone into journalism except all I really care about is editing and writing reviews and editorials and not really any of the meaty stuff. Plus, I wanted to make money.
6. I've been a Hello Kitty fan since I was eight, when my sister bought me my first Hello Kitty item (it was stationary).
7. I have a hard time getting rid of stuff because things easily have sentimental value to me. I only got rid of my Pokemon cards a few years ago! (Not that I had been much of a collector because I didn't really care about the game. I just collected the cute ones and only started collecting them because the boy I had a crush on in 5th grade liked Pokemon.)

7 bloggers I am passing this award on to: (it was a really tough decision!)
1.
Modanista Junkie.
2. Express-O.
3
. Fashion Meets Food.
4. Little T.
5. Michaela Noelle.
6. I Know, Right?
7. Glam Kitten's Litterbox.

I still have a lame cough going on, but after finishing my antibiotics, I am starting to feel like myself!

Have a good rest of the weekend! :o)
