"I wouldn't wanna have it any other way, I'm addicted."

I was always told that April showers are supposed to bring May flowers. I've seen plenty of flowers, but apparently that doesn't mean that the April showers stop. I've always felt like I've been living in the wrong area. The Pacific Northwest is for people who can tolerate the abundant rain and love the outdoors. I hate the rain and my idea of spending time outdoors is probably running outside--in the sun, going to the beach--in the sun, or having a picnic--in the sun. Rain, rain, pleeeeeeeease go away.

In conclusion, I savor any breaks in the rain, especially so I can take pictures outside--in the sun (or at least non-rain).

Banana Republic sweater. Easy Money jeans. Groove boots.
House of Harlow ring. Linea Pelle bracelet. Cara Couture earrings.

I love this Banana Republic sweater, it's probably my favorite short sleeved sweater. I love the dark green, the puffed sleeves--just the right puff, not too big, not too small--and the floral print. :o)

To me, accessories are the icing on the cake. They provide the finish to the outfit and should definitely not overshadow your outfit. Therefore, if your top is busy and is already drawing plenty of attention to itself, go for dangly earrings instead. And if you were like I was and still really wanted a necklace, make sure to keep it simple. It's all about balance.

Sorry for the false announcement of the 90210 and Gossip Girl season finales last week--I really thought it was last week! So let me say again how super excited I am! How great will Ivy's wedding be? What will happen because of Naomi's paper? Will Adrianna get what she really deserves? (I hope so!!)

What is Georgina doing back in town? What are they going to do with crazy Charlie? When will everyone figure out Blair is missing? And please don't let Blair die because she's my favorite character!! Leighton Meester isn't going to be renewing her contract when it ends; if it's ending season, I hope they write her off marrying the prince and moving to Europe instead of dying in a fire because that would not be cool.

And at the same time, I will be switching back and forth to watch the season finale of Chuck as well. I'm hoping for a happy episode!!

Also sad that Smallville is over, though bittersweet rather. It was starting to not be as good, but certainly had a good run. Will definitely miss Tom Wellings! :o(

Sorry if I spoiled anything for anyone who hasn't been watching, but you shouldn't be missing out on great shows! :o)

XOXO,
S

"Give me boots and boys."

I bought these boots nearly 2 months ago and blogged about them, but here is their debut! I love them so far! They are currently being categorized as 3 hour shoes, but I'll have to wear them longer next time and see if I can last in them. I love their tall height and their versatility with their ability to be either thigh high or rolled down as over the knee boots.

My Juicy Couture headband and scarf were purchased at the same time--amazing deals scored at Nordstrom Rack. LOVE that store! I am also especially loving the scarf. I didn't know how I would like an infinity scarf, but I am definitely converted to an infinity scarf wearer! They are so fun and easy to wear, I don't know why I was so hesitant before! They are worn/wrapped like a long scarf would normally, but you are saved the hassle of trying to figure out what to do with the ends of the scarf (well, I have that problem, do you??)! I don't think you can entirely tell from the pictures, but the scarf is also studded. :o)

C & C California top. Abercrombie & Fitch jacket. Easy Money jeans. Juicy Couture headband.
Juicy Couture Nailhead Infinity Scarf. Tarina Tarantino ring. Report boots.

I get constant compliments on my eye makeup and when I thought about, I realized my eyes are as great as they are (well, on a good day!) primarily thanks to Urban Decay and Lancome! Urban Decay is my favorite brand for eyeshadows because I love their selection of colors; I especially love their Book of Shadows. The "Books" always come with a great variety of colors and are always really fun. I give kudos to their marketing and design team--or whoever comes up with the book/box designs; every edition of the Book of Shadows is always really fun and I hate tossing it after I'm done!

I like the Lancome Artliner because on days when I want my eyeliner to be thinner, I can draw it so precisely! (For days when I like my eyeliner thick, I can just angle the Artliner, and the job still gets done!)

I was never a huge fan of Lancome mascaras before because I found that they tended to both smudge and clump, but the Hypnose Drama mascara won me over. It's long last lasting, doesn't flake, and most of all, is one of the best volumizing mascaras I've ever used. And with the help of the Cils Booster, my eyelashes look fabulous! If you pick one product to invest in, it should be the Cils Booster; pair it with any mascara and you will see the difference!

What products/new purchases are you currently loving? :o)

"Never quittin' on believin.'"

Juicy Couture hoodie. C & C California top. Easy Money jeans. Groove boots.
Givenchy earrings. Marc Jacobs necklace and sunglasses. Juicy Couture rings.

This is probably my favorite hoodie simply for the pocket embellishments. :o)

I'm super glad that it's finally the weekend! I do have to work today though, so I don't know how much of a weekend it will really be. I've also started doing hot yoga early in the mornings (taking it in the middle of the afternoon throws my whole schedule into a funk) which means that I never get to sleep in anymore. Although in reality, I am lucky for any sleep I manage to cram in between my two internships and normal work! Life is just full blown busy for me at the moment, so sorry for the lack of posts this week! :o(

I told you I was going to post more art pictures so here is one of the pieces I made last month:

I can already tell I'm going to be too busy this month so I'm glad I was able to get a good amount done last month!

I also changed my shop store! You can now Shop Samantha via tumblr :o) I have items as low as $15 and brand new, be sure to check it out!

Super thankful that despite having the tsunami warning in my area, we fared just fine. Also glad that my friends on the other side of the world are safe. My heart goes out to all those effected by the tsunami. It is moments like these that we really have to take a step back and realize how lucky we are for everything we have.

Have a lovely weekend, stay safe! :o)

"A storm cloud break, pullin' out the sun."

Marc Jacobs sweater. Forever 21 tank top. Easy Money jeans.
Coach tote. Guess watch. Juicy Couture boots.

This was one of those really rare days when I left the house nearly sans accessories (I never go anywhere without a watch and also sleep with my earrings in so I don't normally take them out)--I didn't have any necklaces, rings, or bracelets on.  However, taking my outfit into consideration, I don't feel like a lot of accessories were really necessary.  Because my Marc Jacobs sweater is fairly busy, it draws most of the attention anyway.  I would've had to find a really simple necklace that would have neither distracted nor clashed with the sweater.  The key thing to remember is that while accessories are great, you only want them to complement the other items in your outfit, not be overwhelming.

"You're original, cannot be replaced."

Gap long sleeved tee. Truth & Pride leather vest. Easy Money jeans.
Coach tote. Nine West heels. Juicy Couture rings.

Love, love, love my leather vest.  It was pretty much love at first sight when I saw it.  Do you ever have moments like that--when after the moment you first set your eyes on something, you know you have to have it?  That's how I felt.  I'm a bargain shopper and at max, I will spent $50 on an item--if I really love it.  This vest was a bit of a splurge.  I think I paid $60 or $70 for it, but it was regular almost $200, so it was a great deal!  I thought of it as an investment.  It's actually the first time I've worn it since buying it at least 6 months ago, but I'm sure I'll be wearing it lots more.... Point is, I love this vest, and even if I only wear it once a year, it was well worth my money!

Also with this outfit, not to say I don't like anything else, but I'd also like to mention that I love my pink heels; they make me feel like Barbie.  Want to add girly-ness to any outfit?  Pink heels.  Again with my habit of buying variations of things I love, I also bought these heels in blue!

P.S. Sorry for the overuse of the word "love"!

P.P.S. I got started a little late, but

"I've been watching the skies."

Juicy Couture sweater. Forever 21 tank top. Easy Money jeans.
Ugg flats. Tarina Tarantino ring. Nordstrom earrings.

Fall has fully arrived with its cold weather. I get thankful for the non-rainy days where I can get away with wearing flats.  (I've tried wearing flats during rainy days to no avail; wet shoes and wet feet are no fun.)  But as the weather keeps getting colder, it's harder to go sans socks; my feet get cold easily!  Thankfully, I have my Ugg flats--lined with sheepskin as most Ugg shoes--they're warm, comfortable, and cute!  I love the embroidered eyelet pattern to them, though due to the cloth material, I have to make sure I am stepping out in 100% puddleless places to avoid getting them dirty.

Tarina Tarantino is one of my favorite jewelry designers, but as a Hello Kitty fan, I especially love her Pink Head line.  Pictured above is one of my favorite rings!  (See other Tarina Tarantino items I've worn here or here.)  I wear this particular one pretty often because it's rather versatile.  One of my friends had suggested her to me because his girlfriend is a huge Hello Kitty fan too.  After looking up her collection, I was hooked and buying Pink Head items left and right!  Tarina Tarantino's designs are always really fun and creative.  Aside from her Hello Kitty line, she's also done Barbie, Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, and Kidrobot lines as well.
